Upper Instrument Panel: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 6 clips and 5 claws to install the instrument panel.

    2. Connect the connector and attach the clamp.
    3. Install the 2 bolts and 2 screws.
    4. Connect the passenger airbag connector.
    5. Install the 2 bolts to the passenger airbag.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

  2. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 2 hinges to install the door.

    2. Attach the claw to the glove compartment door stopper.

    3. While pushing in the sides of the glove compartment door in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration, close the door to engage it to the 2 stoppers.
  3. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 60
  4. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 61
  5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY CENTER 
    1. Attach the 5 clips to install the instrument panel register.

  6. INSTALL NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Navigation System) 
    1. w/ CD Player: 

      Install the navigation receiver assembly with bracket. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4 .

    2. w/ DVD Player: 

      Install the navigation receiver assembly with bracket. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4 .

  7. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/o Navigation System)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  8. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the 3 clips and 2 claws to install the cluster finish panel.
  9. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the 3 clips and 2 claws to install the cluster finish panel.
  10. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the 2 clips to install the combination meter.
    3. Install the 2 screws.
  11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 4 clips and 6 claws to install the instrument cluster finish panel.

  12. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 12
  13. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL PAD ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  15. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
