75 to 100°C (167 to 212°F): After warming up Yes
      Diagnostic Note:
This is the engine coolant temperature.
      HINT:
      • After warming up the engine, the engine coolant temperature is 75 to 100°C (167 to 212°F).
      • After a long soak, the engine coolant temperature, intake air temperature and ambient air temperature are approximately equal.
      • If the value is -40°C (-40°F) or higher than 135°C (275°F), the sensor circuit may be open or shorted.
      • Check if the engine overheats when the value indicates higher than 135°C (275°F).
      NOTE:

Enter inspection mode. Refer to INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
The data list values of the ECUs do not match. A
The data list values of the ECUs match. B

      HINT:

When the Data List values of the ECUs do not match, a signal output error of the ECM is suspected.

    B → See step   11

    A: Go to next step

  6. REPLACE METER CIRCUIT PLATE
    1. Replace the meter circuit plate with a new or a known good one. Refer to DISASSEMBLY .

      OK

The operation of the water temperature warning light returns to normal.

    NG → See step   12

    OK → END
