Turn Signal Switch Circuit: Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
- Read the display on the Techstream.COMBINATION METER
Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Turn Signal Switch (Right) Turn RH signal switch/OFF or ON OFF: Turn RH switch off
ON: Turn RH switch on- Turn Signal Switch (Left) Turn LH signal switch/OFF or ON OFF: Turn LH switch off
ON: Turn LH switch on- OK

- INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Inspect the items that did not change as a result of monitoring the Data List.
- Remove the headlight dimmer switch assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

Headlight dimmer switch assembly is normal.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER SUB-ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the L47 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.
- Disconnect the L27 combination meter sub-assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L27-17 (B) - L47-13 (TR) Always Below 1 Ω L27-18 (B) - L47-15 (TL) Always Below 1 Ω L47-13 (TR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher L47-15 (TL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher L47-12 (EL) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
