Tire Pressure Warning Reset Switch Circuit: Procedure
- CHECK TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH FUNCTION
- Perform the tire pressure warning reset switch test in TEST MODE PROCEDURE. Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE

Reset switch ON
Tire pressure warning light turns on.
Reset switch OFF
Tire pressure warning light blinks at 0.125 second.

OK → See step 6
- Perform the tire pressure warning reset switch test in TEST MODE PROCEDURE. Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE

- INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH
- Remove the tire pressure warning reset switch. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition D32-1 - D32-2 ON Below 1 Ω OFF 10 kΩ or higher
NG → See step 4
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RESET SWITCH - ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the D32 reset switch connector.
- Disconnect the D33 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D33-1 (CLSW) - D32-1 Always Below 1 Ω D33-1 (CLSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher D32-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 5
- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU. Refer to REMOVAL
- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
