Tire Pressure Warning Light Circuit: Procedure
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (COMBINATION METER)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the tester on.
- Enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Active Test.
- Check the condition of the tire pressure warning light by operating the tester.COMBINATION METER
Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Indicat. Tire Pressure Warning System Tire Pressure Warning Light Tire pressure warning light is OFF/ON Confirm that the vehicle is stopped, engine idling OK
The warning light turns on or off according to tester operation.

OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the D33 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the E1 meter connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D33-5 (IND) - E1-33 (TIRE) Always Below 1 Ω D33-5 (IND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 4
- REPLACE COMBINATION METER. Refer to REMOVAL
- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
