DTC B1625/22: Side Airbag Sensor LH Circuit Malfunction: Procedure

  1. CHECK SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR LH (FOR REAR SIDE) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
    3. Interchange the side airbag sensor LH (for rear side) with the side airbag sensor RH (for rear side) and connect the connectors to them.
    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    5. Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    6. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    7. Turn the ignition switch off.
    8. Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    9. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs B1620/21 and B1625/22 are not output. A
      DTC B1625/22 is output. B
      DTC B1620/21 is output. C

      HINT: 

      Codes other than DTCs B1620/21 and B1625/22 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

  2. REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  3. REPLACE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR LH (FOR REAR SIDE). Refer to  REMOVAL 
  4. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
