DTC B1610/13: Front Airbag Sensor RH Malfunction: Procedure

  1. CHECK FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR RH 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
    3. Interchange the front airbag sensor LH with the front airbag sensor RH and connect the connectors to them.
    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    5. Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    6. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    7. Turn the ignition switch off.
    8. Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    9. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs B1610/13 and B1615/14 is not output. A
      DTC B1610/13 is output. B
      DTC B1615/14 is output. C

      HINT: 

      Codes other than DTCs B1610/13 and B1615/14 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

  2. REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  3. REPLACE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR RH. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  4. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
