DTC P0AFC-123: Hybrid Battery Pack Sensor Module: Procedure
- INSPECT FUSE (IGCT NO. 3)
- Remove the IGCT NO. 3 fuse.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition IGCT NO. 3 fuse Always Below 1 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Engine Room No. 2 Relay Block *2 IGCT NO. 3 Fuse
NG → REPLACE FUSE (IGCT NO. 3)
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT RELAY (IGCT MAIN)
- Remove the IGCT MAIN relay.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*1 Engine Room No. 2 Relay Block *2 IGCT MAIN Relay - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - 5 Auxiliary battery voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2 below 1 Ω Auxiliary battery voltage is not applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPLACE RELAY (IGCT MAIN)
OK: Go to next step
- Remove the IGCT MAIN relay.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IGCT VOLTAGE) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch ON (READY), unless instructed by the repair information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Remove the battery cover. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the battery smart unit. Refer to REMOVAL

HINT:
Do not disconnect the battery smart unit connector.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
NOTE:
If the ignition switch is turned ON with the service plug grip removed, DTC P0A0D-350 for the interlock switch system will be stored. If this DTC is output, clear the DTC using the Techstream. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY SMART UNIT - IGCT MAIN RELAY AND BODY GROUND) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the IGCT MAIN relay.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*1 Engine Room No. 2 Relay Block *2 IGCT MAIN Relay - Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch ON (READY), unless instructed by the repair information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Remove the battery cover. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the z21 connector from the battery smart unit.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK → CHECK AND REPAIR POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 BATTERY PACK WIRE) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch ON (READY), unless instructed by the repair information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Remove the battery cover. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the Oz3 connector from the No. 2 battery pack wire.
- Disconnect the z21 connector from the battery smart unit.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
