Tire Pressure Warning Light Circuit: Procedure
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION LINE
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus:
Select: "Bus Check" from the "System Select" / "Communication Malfunction DTC" from the "Bus Check" screen
- Check the CAN communication system. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
w/ Smart Key System, refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
w/o Smart Key System.RESULT
Result Proceed to No malfunction appears A Malfunction appears w/ Smart Key System B w/o Smart Key System C

- CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
- Check for DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to CAN system DTC is not output A CAN system DTC is output w/ Smart Key System B w/o Smart Key System C

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (COMBINATION METER)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
- Check the condition of the tire pressure warning light by operating the Techstream.COMBINATION METER
Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Indicat. Tire Pressure Warning System Tire Pressure Warning Light Tire pressure warning light is OFF/ON Confirm that the vehicle is stopped, engine idling OK
The warning light turns on or off according to the Techstream operation.

- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
- GO TO COMBINATION METER. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU. Refer to REMOVAL
- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
