DTC P0A79-703: Drive Motor "B" Inverter Performance: Description

If the inverter receives a rear motor gate shutdown signal from the MG ECU, it will turn off all power transistors which are activating MGR to forcibly stop MGR operation. The MG ECU monitors the rear motor gate shutdown signal line and detects a malfunction.
HINT:
The term "drive motor B" indicates MGR.

HINT:
- If DTC P0A79-703 is output, the hybrid system cannot be restarted until the DTC is cleared.
- If the malfunction is not reproduced, turn the ignition switch to ON (READY) and leave the vehicle for 1 minute with the shift lever in P or N in order to easily reproduce the malfunction.
