DTC B1475/75: A/C Inverter Cooling / Heating System Malfunction: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      CAN DTC is not output A
      CAN DTC is output (w/ Smart Key System) B
      CAN DTC is output (w/o Smart Key System) C

    B → See step   5 

    C → See step   10 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (ELECTRICAL FAN) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream main switch on.
    3. Select the item below in the Active Test and then check that the fan operates.
      ACTIVE TEST / AIR CONDITIONER:

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Electrical Fan Electrical fan OFF, ON -

      OK

      Electrical fan operates smoothly.

    NG → See step   6 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE 
    1. Install the manifold gauge set. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION .
    2. Read the manifold gauge pressure when the following conditions are established.

      1. Prepare the vehicle according to the chart below.
        Item Condition
        Vehicle doors Fully open
        Temperature Setting MAX COLD
        Blower Speed HI
        A/C Switch ON
        R/F Switch RECIRCULATION
        Interior Temperature 30 to 35°C (86 to 95°F)

        Standard pressure

        Low pressure side 

        0.15 to 0.25 MPa (1.5 to 2.5 kgf/cm2 , 21.3 to 35.6 psi)

        High pressure side 

        1.37 to 1.57 MPa (14 to 16 kgf/cm2 , 199 to 228 psi)

    NG → See step   7 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Recheck for DTCs when the following conditions are satisfied. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      Blower Speed HI
      A/C switch ON
      Temperature setting MAX COLD

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1475/75 is not output A
      DTC B1475/75 is output B
      NOTE:
      • This DTC may be set because the vehicle was operated in extremely high ambient temperature.
      • When this DTC is set, the compressor will shut down to protect the inverter circuit from high temperatures.

  5. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM 
  6. GO TO COOLING FAN SYSTEM. Refer to  Cooling Fan Circuit 
  7. CHARGE REFRIGERANT. Refer to  REPLACEMENT 
  8. REPLACE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  9. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  10. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
