Daytime Running Light Relay Circuit: Procedure

CHECK HEADLIGHT
1. Check the operation of the HI-beam headlights.
  OK
  
  HI-beam headlights operate normally.
NG → See step 3

OK: Go to next step

INSPECT ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

Remove the engine room junction block assembly from the engine room relay block.

Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2D-1.
Connect a negative (-) lead from the battery to terminals 2A-5, 2A-17 and 2B-8.

Check for pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
2B-1 - Battery negative	Always	Pulse generation
2B-5 - Battery negative	Always	Pulse generation

NG → REPLACE ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

OK → See step 4
