DTC P0793: Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor "A": Procedure

- INSPECT SPEED SENSOR INSTALLATION
- Check the speed sensor installation.
OK
The installation bolt is tightened properly and there is no clearance between the sensor and transaxle case.
NG → See step 5
OK: Go to next step
- Check the speed sensor installation.
- INSPECT SPEED SENSOR (NC)
- Disconnect the speed sensor connector from the transaxle.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 560 to 680 Ω
NG → See step 5
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPEED SENSOR - ECM)
- Connect the speed sensor connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B29-101 (NC+) - B29- 102 (NC-) 20°C (68°F) 560 to 680 Ω - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance (Check for short)
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B29-101 (NC+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher B29-102 (NC-) - Body ground Always
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 4
- REPLACE ECM. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE SPEED SENSOR (NC). Refer to REMOVAL
