DTC C2198/98: Initialization Switch (for Test Mode DTC): Procedure

  1. INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH 
    1. Disconnect the tire pressure warning reset switch connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 (INT) - 2 (E) ON Below 1 Ω
      OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Tire Pressure Warning Reset Switch)
      *b ON
      *c OFF

    NG → See step   3 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RESET SWITCH - TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the tire pressure warning reset switch I137 connector and tire pressure warning ECU and receiver O25 or O33 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O25-3 (CLSW) - I137-1 (INT)*1
      O33-3 (CLSW) - I137-1 (INT)*2
      Always Below 1 Ω
      O25-3 (CLSW) - Body ground*1
      O33-3 (CLSW) - Body ground*2
      10 kΩ or higher
      I137-2 (E) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      • *1: w/ Wireless Door Lock Control System
      • *2: w/o Wireless Door Lock Control System

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH. Refer to  REMOVAL  .
  4. REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER. Refer to  REMOVAL  .
