DTC B1247: Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver Communication Stop: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) - TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver O25 or O33 connector and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) I13 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O25-4 (RDA) - I13-16 (RDA)*1
      O33-4 (RDA) - I13-16 (RDA)*2
      Always Below 1 Ω
      I13-16 (RDA) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      • *1: w/ Wireless Door Lock Control System
      • *2: w/o Wireless Door Lock Control System

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE OF TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O25-12 (GND) - Body ground*1
      O33-12 (GND) - Body ground*2
      Always Below 1 Ω
      • *1: w/ Wireless Door Lock Control System
      • *2: w/o Wireless Door Lock Control System
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O25-1 (IG) - Body ground*1
      O33-1 (IG) - Body ground*2
      Ignition switch ON 10 to 16 V
      • *1: w/ Wireless Door Lock Control System
      • *2: w/o Wireless Door Lock Control System

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER 
    1. Replace the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver. Refer to REMOVAL .

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (B1247) 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Turn the ignition switch off.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      OK

      DTC B1247 is not output.

    NG → See step   5 

    OK → END 

  5. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL  .
