Tire Pressure Warning Light Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM) 
    1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output. A
      DTC is output. B

    B → See step   5 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (B1247) 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Turn the ignition switch off.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      OK

      DTC B1247 is not output.

    NG → See step   6 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK OPERATION OF TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT (ACTIVE TEST) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
    6. Check the condition of the tire pressure warning light by using the Techstream.

      OK

      The tire pressure warning light turns on or off in accordance with the Techstream operation.

    NG → See step   7 

    OK → See step   4 

  4. REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER. Refer to  REMOVAL  .
  5. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  .
  6. GO TO DTC B1247. Refer to  DTC B1247: Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver Communication Stop   .
  7. GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  .
