- CHECK FOR DTC
- Delete the DTCs. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
- Check for DTCs again.
- Proceed to the next step based on the inspection result.

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
- Select the Active Test, use Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the rear shade raises and lowers.

- Replace network gateway ECU. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Check the rear sunshade operation. Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION .

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SUNSHADE RELAY - MAIN BODY ECU)
- Disconnect the K17 rear sunshade relay connector.
- Disconnect the D6 main body ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance between the terminals according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition K17-2 (REV) - D6-6 (RSSR) Always Below 1 Ω K17-2 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ higher D6-6 (RSSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) (R POSITION SIGNAL)
- Disconnect the K17 rear sunshade relay connector.
- Measure the voltage between the terminals according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition K17-2 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG), shift lever in except R position Below 1 V K17-2 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG), shift lever in R position 11 to 14 V
NG → REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

- REPLACE REAR SUNSHADE ASSEMBLY (REAR SUNSHADE RELAY). Refer to REMOVAL .
