DTC B1443/43: Air Outlet Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (AIR OUTLET SERVO PULSE [D]) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream main switch on.
    3. Select the items below in the Data List, and read the value displayed on the Techstream.

      OK

      The display is as specified in the normal condition column.

      OK (When troubleshooting according to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE) B
      OK (When troubleshooting according to DTC) C

    B → See step   4 

    C → See step   5 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. REPLACE MODE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the mode damper servo sub-assembly, refer to REMOVAL .

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      OK

      DTC B1443/43 is not output.

    NG → REPAIR AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS 

    OK → END (MODE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE) 

  4. PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  5. REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER. Refer to  REMOVAL
