Fuel Injector: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply a light coat of spindle oil or gasoline to new O-rings, and install them to each injector.
      NOTE:

      The wound or the foreign body must not adhere in the ditch of O-ring.

    2. Apply a light coat of spindle oil or gasoline where the fuel delivery pipe contacts the O-ring.

    3. Push the fuel injector while turning it to install the injector in the fuel delivery pipe.
    4. Position the fuel injector connector outward.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to twist the O-ring.
      • After installing the fuel injector, check that it turns smoothly. If not, reinstall it with a new O-ring.
  2. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  3. CONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  4. TEMPORARILY INSTALL NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  5. TEMPORARILY INSTALL THROTTLE BODY BRACKET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  6. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7
  7. FULLY TIGHTEN NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 8
  8. FULLY TIGHTEN THROTTLE BODY BRACKET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  9. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  12. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  13. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  14. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 5
  15. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  16. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 102
  17. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 12
  18. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  19. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  20. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
