Speedometer Malfunction: Procedure

1. Check if a CAN communication DTC is output.
   • w/ Smart Key System:, refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
   • w/o Smart Key System:, refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

A: Go to next step 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
5. Check the operation by referring to the values in the table below.

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
5. Check the values by referring to the values in the table below.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Data List.
5. Check the values by referring to the table below.
   ABS/TRAC/VSC:

1. Replace the skid control ECU with a new or normally functioning one, refer to REMOVAL .

   OK

   The operation of the speedometer returns to normal.
