Clock Display Circuit: Procedure
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if CAN communication DTC is output.
- w/ Smart Key System:, refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
- w/o Smart Key System:, refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

- Check if CAN communication DTC is output.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLOCK ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER)
- Disconnect the E11 clock and E1 meter connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E11-3 (HSI+) - E1-17 (LCL-) Always Below 1 Ω E11-10 (DATA) - E1-37 (MDAT) Always Below 1 Ω E11-11 (SYNC) - E1-38 (SYNC) Always Below 1 Ω E11-3 (HSI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E11-10 (DATA) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E11-11 (SYNC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E11-16 (SGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Reconnect the E1 meter connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E11-3 (HSI+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Pulse generation E11-10 (DATA) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Pulse generation E11-11 (SYNC) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 4 to 6 V
