TRAC OFF Indicator Light does not Come ON: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM See step   1 

    B → See step   5 

    C → See step   7 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (TRC(TRAC) OFF INDICATOR LIGHT) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Select the Active Test on the Techstream, refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST .
      ABS/VSC/TRAC

      TRC(TRAC) OFF Indicator Light TRAC OFF indicator light Indicator light ON/OFF Observe combination meter
    4. Check that the TRAC OFF indicator light in the combination meter turns on and off in accordance with the Techstream operation.

      OK

      The TRAC OFF indicator light turns on and off in accordance with the Techstream operation.

      HINT: 

      If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next suspected area before replacing the part, refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Perform the Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using the Techstream, refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST .
    3. Check the combination meter.

      OK

      The TRAC OFF indicator light turns on and off in accordance with the Techstream operation.

      HINT: 

      If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next suspected area, refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

    NG → See step   6 

    OK → See step   4 

  4. REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  5. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  6. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  7. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
