TC and CG Terminal Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM See step   1 

    B → See step   6 

    C → See step   7 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TC OF DLC3 - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the D72 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D47-13 (TC) - D72-11 (TC) Always Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Front view of DLC3
      *2 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CG OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D47-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Front view of DLC3

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TC OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D47-13 (TC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Front view of DLC3

      HINT: 

      If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next suspected area before replacing the part, refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR EACH ECU 

    OK → See step   5 

  5. REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  6. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  7. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
