Skid Control Buzzer Circuit: Procedure
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (BUZZER)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Select the Active Test on the Techstream, refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Buzzer Skid control buzzer Buzzer ON/OFF Buzzer can be heard - Check that the buzzer sounds/stops when turning the skid control buzzer on/off using the Techstream.

If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next suspected area, refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (BUZZER OUTPUT)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A44-13 (VBZ) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 9.1 to 15 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Component with harness connected

NG → See step 6
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL BUZZER
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the skid control buzzer connector.
- Apply battery negative voltage to terminal 1 (BZ) and battery positive voltage to terminal 2 (VBZ) of the skid control buzzer, and then check that the buzzer sounds.
OK
The skid control buzzer sounds.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - SKID CONTROL BUZZER)
- Disconnect the A44 skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (GND TERMINAL)
- Disconnect the A45, A46 and A47 skid control ECU connectors.

- Disconnect the A45, A46 and A47 skid control ECU connectors.
- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE SKID CONTROL BUZZER. Refer to REMOVAL
