DTC C1378/44: Capacitor Communication Malfunction: Procedure
- INSPECT BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY (IG1 TERMINAL)
- Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
- Disconnect the brake control power supply connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage

(to Brake Control Power Supply)
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IG1 CIRCUIT)
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY (GND TERMINAL)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition O40-14 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Front view of wire harness connector
(to Brake Control Power Supply)
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY)
- Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
- Disconnect the A44 and A47 skid control ECU connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- RECONFIRM DTC
- Reconnect the skid control ECU connectors and the brake control power supply connector.
- Clear the DTCs, refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Check if the same DTC is recorded, refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR
