DTC C1259/58: HV System Regenerative Malfunction; DTC C1310/51: Malfunction in HV system: Description

The skid control ECU communicates with the hybrid vehicle control ECU and controls braking force according to the motor's regenerative force.

The skid control ECU sends enhanced-VSC signals to the hybrid vehicle control ECU and receives operating signals from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

The skid control ECU uses CAN communication for communication with the hybrid vehicle control ECU. If a communication malfunction is detected, the skid control ECU prohibits enhanced-VSC operation and a part of electronically controlled brake system control using the fail-safe function.

If the signals from the hybrid vehicle control ECU return to normal, the warning light will go off and DTCs C1259/58 and C1310/51 will be cleared.

DTC Code INF Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1259/58 - Either of the following is detected:
  1. When IG2 terminal voltage is 10.5 V or more, a regeneration malfunction signal continues for 0.48 seconds or more.
  2. A regeneration malfunction signal is received for at least 0.036 seconds when IG2 terminal voltage is 10.5 V or more for at least 2 seconds and communication with hybrid vehicle control ECU is valid.
Hybrid control system
C1310/51 - A traction control prohibition signal is received for at least 0.072 seconds when IG2 terminal voltage is 10.5 V or more for at least 1.5 seconds and communication with hybrid vehicle control ECU is valid. Hybrid control system

HINT:

These DTCs will be output from the skid control ECU when the hybrid vehicle control ECU sends a malfunction signal to the skid control ECU.
