"CLOSE FUEL LID" Remains Displayed at Multi-information Display: Description

The ECM detects the fuel lid courtesy switch status and transmits this data to the combination meter. According to the data from the ECM, the combination meter displays "CLOSE FUEL LID" on the multi-information display if the fuel lid is open, and does not display "CLOSE FUEL LID" if the fuel lid is closed.

When the fuel lid is closed but "CLOSE FUEL LID" remains displayed on the multi-information display, one of the following may be malfunctioning: 1) fuel lid courtesy switch, 2) wire harness or connector, 3) ECM, or 4) meter / gauge system.
