DTC P0606: ECM / PCM Processor: Procedure

  1. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (IN ADDITION TO DTC P0606) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the tester on.
    4. Clear the DTC.
    5. Turn the ignition switch off.
    6. Disconnect the battery negative terminal and wait for 1 minute.
    7. Connect the battery negative terminal.
    8. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
    9. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Code.
    10. Read the DTCs.

      Result

      Display (DTC output) Proceed to
      P0606 A
      No output DTC B

    A → See step   3 

  2. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 
  3. REPLACE ECM. Refer to  COMPONENTS
