How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

• Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the seat belt warning system.
• *: Use Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

   NEXT: Go to next step 

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

   Standard voltage

   11 to 14 V

   If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

   NEXT: Go to next step 

3. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
   1. Use Techstream to check if the CAN Communication System is functioning normally.

      CAN DTC is output (w/ Smart Key System)	B
      CAN DTC is output (w/o Smart Key System)	C

      B → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, refer to  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM 

      C → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, refer to  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM 

      A: Go to next step 

4. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

   HINT: 

   Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

   NEXT: Go to next step 

5. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
   1. Data List / Active Test, refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST .
   2. Terminals of ECU, refer to TERMINALS OF ECU .
   3. On-vehicle Inspection, refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION .
