Sound Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Jack Adapter: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER) 
    1. Disconnect the E3 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the E34 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E3-19 (AUXI) - E34-9 Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-18 (AGND) - E34-10 Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-15 (ARI) - E34-6 Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-17 (ALI) - E34-7 Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-16 (ASGN) - E34-8 Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-19 (AUXI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E3-18 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E3-15 (ARI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E3-17 (ALI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E3-16 (ASGN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
