Reverse Signal Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK BACK-UP LIGHT 
    1. Move the shift lever to R and check that the back-up lights come on.

      OK

      The back-up lights come on.

    NG → See step   3 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the E5 navigation receiver assembly.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E5-5 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON
      Shift lever in R
      11 to 14 V
      E5-5 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON
      Shift lever not in R
      Below 1 V
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Navigation Receiver Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM. Refer to  Back-up Light Circuit 
  4. REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
