Mute Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Component Amplifier: Procedure

1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   N14-1 (MUTE) - Body ground	Ignition switch ACC, Audio system playing → Changing modes	Above 3.5 V → Below 1 V

NG → See step   2 

OK → See step   4 

1. Disconnect the E2 navigation receiver assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the N14 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E2-7 (MUTE) - N14-1 (MUTE)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E2-7 (MUTE) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Replace the stereo component amplifier assembly and check if it operates normally, refer to REMOVAL .

   OK

   The navigation system operates normally.

NG → See step   5 

OK → END (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE)
