DTC B1562: XM Tuner Disconnected (Burst Mode): Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs, refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → See step   5 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - STEREO COMPONENT TUNER) 
    1. Disconnect the E27 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the E28 stereo component tuner assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E27-2 (TXO+) - E28-3 (TXI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      E27-3 (TXI+) - E28-2 (TXO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      E27-5 (TXO-) - E28-6 (TXI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      E27-6 (TXI-) - E28-5 (TXO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      E27-2 (TXO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E27-3 (TXI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E27-5 (TXO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E27-6 (TXI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the E28 stereo component tuner assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E28-2 (TXO+) - E28-3 (TXI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      E28-5 (TXO-) - E28-6 (TXI-) Always Below 1 Ω

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Stereo Component Tuner Assembly)

    NG → See step   6 

    OK → See step   4 

  4. REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  5. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  6. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
