DTC B1650/32: Occupant Classification System Malfunction: Procedure
- CHECK DTC (OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU)
- Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 10 seconds.
- Using Techstream, check the DTCs of the occupant classification ECU. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

DTC is not output.
NG → See step 20
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK DTC (CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)
- Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

DTC B1650/32 is not output.
HINT:
Codes other than DTC B1650/32 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

- CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Check that the connectors are properly connected to the center airbag sensor assembly and the occupant classification ECU.
OK
The connectors are properly connected.
NG → CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK CONNECTORS
- Disconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor assembly and the occupant classification ECU.
- Check that the connectors (on the center airbag sensor assembly side and occupant classification ECU side) are not damaged.
OK
The connectors are not deformed or damaged.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK VEHICLE TYPE
- Check the front passenger side seat type.

- Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
