DTC P0705-757: Transmission Range Sensor Circuit; DTC P0705-758: Transmission Range Sensor Circuit; DTC P0851-775: Park / Neutral Switch Input Circuit Low: Procedure
- CLEAR DTC
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.
NEXT: Go to next step
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SHIFT POSITION)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- While slowly moving the shift lever from P to B, and then back to the P position, read the data list (Shift Position) displayed on the Techstream.
HINT:
Make sure to move the shift lever slowly.

- Check connections of the park / neutral position switch connectors.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the C62 park / neutral position switch connector.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition +B (C62-8) - Body ground 10 to 14 V NOTE:Turning the power switch on (IG) with the park / neutral position switch connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) See step 3
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH)
- Disconnect the C64 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
- Disconnect the C62 park / neutral position switch connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below when the power switch is on (IG).
