DTC P0ABF-123: Hybrid Battery Pack Current Sensor Circuit; DTC P0AC1-123: Hybrid Battery Pack Current Sensor "A" Circuit Low; DTC P0AC2-123: Hybrid Battery Pack Current Sensor "A" Circuit High: Procedure
- CHECK FOR DTCS (DTC P0A1F-123 IS OUTPUT)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
DTC P0A1F-123 is output.
YES → GO TO INSPECTION PROCEDURE RELEVANT TO OUTPUT DTC
NO: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY ECU - BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Remove the service plug grip. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the HV relay assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Disconnect connector o1 from the battery smart unit.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance (Check for open)
Tester Connection Specified Condition IB (o1-9) - IB (3) Below 1 Ω GIB (o1-20) - GIB (2) Below 1 Ω VIB (o1-10) - VIB (1) Below 1 Ω Standard resistance (Check for short)
Tester Connection Specified Condition IB (o1-9) or IB (3) - Body ground and other terminals 10 kΩ or higher GIB (o1-20) or GIB (2) - Body ground and other terminals 10 kΩ or higher VIB (o1-10) or VIB (1) - Body ground and other terminals 10 kΩ or higher HINT:
The wire harness is not available separately. If it cannot be repaired, replace the HV battery.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK BATTERY SMART UNIT (VIB VOLTAGE) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Connect connector o1 to the battery smart unit.
- Install the battery carrier. Refer to INSTALLATION
- Connect the auxiliary battery positive terminal cable of the frame wire. Refer to INSTALLATION
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition VIB (o1-10) - GIB (o1-20) 4.6 to 5.4 V HINT:
If the power switch is turned on (IG) with the service plug grip removed, DTC P0A0D-350 for the interlock switch system will be set.
NG → See step 6
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK BATTERY SMART UNIT (IB VOLTAGE) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Connect the HV relay assembly (battery current sensor) connector.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Specified Condition IB (o1-9) - GIB (o1-20) 2.46 to 2.54 V HINT:
If the power switch is turned on (IG) with the service plug grip removed, DTC P0A0D-350 for the interlock switch system will be set.

- REPLACE HV RELAY ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE BATTERY SMART UNIT. Refer to REMOVAL
