DTC P0A85-123: Hybrid Battery Pack Cooling Fan 1: Procedure
- CHECK FOR DTCS (DTC P0A1F-123 IS OUTPUT)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
DTC P0A1F-123 is output.
YES → GO TO INSPECTION PROCEDURE RELEVANT TO OUTPUT DTC
NO: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VOLTAGE) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Remove the service plug grip. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the battery smart unit. Refer to REMOVAL
.
HINT:
Do not disconnect the battery smart unit connectors.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Active Test / Driving the Battery Cooling Fan.
HINT:
Check "Cooling Fan Mode 1" in the data list using the Techstream. If the "Cooling Fan Mode 1" to 6, it is not necessary to perform the Active Test.
- Select each air volume mode (1 to 6) in the "Driving the Battery Cooling Fan" active test to operate the battery cooling blower assembly.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below while the cooling fan is operating.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition VM (n2-8) - Body ground Below 5 V HINT:
If the power switch is turned on (IG) with the service plug grip removed, DTC P0A0D-350 for the interlock switch system will be set.
OK → See step 6
NG: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY COOLING BLOWER - BATTERY SMART UNIT) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Disconnect connector n2 from the battery smart unit.
- Disconnect connector N38 from the battery cooling blower assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
