- CLEAR DTC (HV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
NEXT: Go to next step
- RECONFIRM DTC OUTPUT (HV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
DTC U0110-159, 160, 656 or 657 is output.
NO → See step 13
YES: Go to next step
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR). Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Turn the power switch off and remove the service plug grip. Refer to PRECAUTION
.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Disconnect the A62 inverter with converter assembly connector.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition GND1 (A62-11) - Body ground Below 1 Ω GND2 (A62-10) - Body ground Below 1 Ω - Turn the power switch on (IG).
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition +B (A62-31) - Body ground 10 to 14 V +B2 (A62-30) - Body ground 10 to 14 V NOTE:Turning the power switch on (IG) with the low voltage connector of the inverter with converter assembly disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT
OK: Go to next step
- Turn the power switch off and remove the service plug grip. Refer to PRECAUTION
.
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR). Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HV CONTROL ECU - INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY)
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the A61 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
