DTC P2532-772: Ignition Switch Run Position Circuit High: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
The following DTC is output simultaneously.
DTC No. Relevant Diagnosis P2532-772 Ignition Switch Run Position Circuit High HINT:
- Turning the power switch on (IG) with the service plug grip and inverter cover removed causes interlock switch system DTC P0A0D-350 to be output.
- P2532-772 may be output due to a malfunction which causes the DTCs in the table above to be output. In this case, first troubleshoot the output DTCs in the table above. Then, perform a reproduction test to check that no DTCs are output.
NO → See step 12
YES: Go to next step
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BUS CHECK)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Check BUS CHECK.
Result
The screen displays the skid control ECU and A/C amplifier.
OK → See step 7
NG: Go to next step
- CHECK FUSES (ECU IG NO. 2, A/C NO. 2)
- Remove the ECU IG No. 2 and A/C No. 2 fuses from the instrument panel J/B.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Fuse Tester Connection Specified Condition ECU IG No. 2 1 - 2 Below 1 Ω A/C No. 2 1 - 2 Below 1 Ω - Install the fuses.
NG → REPLACE FUSES
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK RELAY (IG1 RELAY)
- Remove the IG1 relay from the instrument panel J/B.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition 3 - 5 Below 1 Ω 3 - 5 10 kΩ or more
(Apply battery voltage between terminals 1 and 2) - Install the fuses.
NG → REPLACE RELAY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - ECU IG NO. 1 FUSE)
- Disconnect the A74 skid control ECU connector.
- Remove the ECU IG No. 2 fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition IG1 (A74-7) - Instrument panel J/B ECU IG No. 2 fuse terminal 2 Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C AMPLIFIER - A/C NO. 2 FUSE)
- Disconnect the E38 A/C amplifier connector.
- Remove the A/C No. 2 fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition IG+ (E38-1) - Instrument panel J/B A/C No. 2 fuse terminal 2 Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 14
- CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the A61 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition IGSW (A61-57) - Body ground Below 1 V
OK → See step 13
NG: Go to next step
- CHECK RELAY (IG2 RELAY)
- Disconnect the IG2 relay from the engine room R/B.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition 3 - 5 Below 1 Ω 3 - 5 10 kΩ or more
(Apply battery voltage between terminals 1 and 2)
NG → REPLACE RELAY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK MAIN BODY ECU
- Turn the power switch off.
- Connect the main body ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition Engine room R/B IG2 relay terminal 2 - Body ground Below 1 V
OK → See step 11
NG: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - IG2 RELAY)
- Disconnect the IG2 relay from the engine room R/B.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition IG2D (E6-11) - Engine room R/B IG2 relay terminal 1 Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the F1 combination meter connector.
- Disconnect the A61 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
- Disconnect the E51 steering lock ECU connector.
- Disconnect the E58 certification ECU connector.
- Disconnect the A74 skid control ECU connector.
- Disconnect the E38 A/C amplifier connector.
- Disconnect the T10 or O4 occupant classification ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition IGSW (A61-57) - Body ground Below 1 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
- Check for intermittent problems. Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS .
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA
