DTC P2511-149: ECM/PCM Power Relay Sense Circuit Intermittent: Procedure

  1. CHECK BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Check the connection of the auxiliary battery terminal.

      Result

      The terminal is connected securely and there is no contact problem.

    NG → CONNECT SECURELY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR). Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 3 

    NG → CONNECT SECURELY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - INTEGRATION RELAY) 
    1. Remove the IGCT relay from the engine room R/B.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      +B1 (A61-2) - Engine room R/B IGCT relay terminal 5 Below 1 Ω
      +B2 (A61-1) - Engine room R/B IGCT relay terminal 5 Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 
    1. Check for intermittent problems. Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
      1. Check the connection and terminal contact pressure of connectors and wire harness between the hybrid vehicle control ECU and the engine room R/B.
      2. When the power switch is on (READY), jiggle the connectors and wire harness between the hybrid vehicle control ECU and the engine room R/B.

    NG → REPAIR MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA 

    OK → See step   5 

  5. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL
