DTC P0711: Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor "A" Performance: Procedure

  1. CHECK OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P0711) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
    5. Read the DTCs using the Techstream.

      Result

      Display (DTC Output) Proceed to
      Only P0711 is output A
      P0711 and other DTC B

      HINT: 

      If any other codes besides P0711 are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs first.

    B → See step   3 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL 
    1. Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to ADJUSTMENT .

      OK

      Automatic transmission fluid level is correct.

    NG → ADJUST FLUID LEVEL 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 
  4. REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE (ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR). Refer to  COMPONENTS
