DTC P2810: Pressure Control Solenoid "G" Electrical (Shift Solenoid Valve SL4): Procedure

- INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (SL4 CIRCUIT)
- Remove the TCM from the transaxle.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition
20°C (68°F)22 (SL4+) - 21 (SL4-) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Check for short
Tester Connection Specified Condition 22 (SL4+) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher 21 (SL4-) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
OK → REPLACE TCM
NG: Go to next step
- INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL4
- Remove the shift solenoid valve SL4.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition
20°C (68°F)1 - 2 5.0 to 5.6 Ω - Connect a positive (+) lead through a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the movement of the valve.
OK
The solenoid makes an operating noise.
NG → REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL4
OK → REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE
