DTC P2119: Throttle Actuator Control Throttle Body Range / Performance: Procedure

- CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P2119)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Code.
- Read the DTCs.
Result
Display (DTC Output) Proceed to P2119 A P2119 and other DTCs B HINT:
If any DTCs other than P2119 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

- INSPECT THROTTLE BODY (RESISTANCE OF THROTTLE ACTUATOR)
- Disconnect the throttle body connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (M+) - 1 (M-) 20°C (68°F) 0.3 to 100 Ω - Reconnect the throttle body connector.
NG → See step 6
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE ECM
- Replace the ECM. Refer to REMOVAL .
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC P2119)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Allow the engine to idle for 15 seconds or more.
- Full depress and release the accelerator pedal several times quickly.
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
- Read the DTCs.
OK
No DTC output.
HINT:
The output voltage of the throttle position sensor can be checked using the Techstream. Variations in the output voltage indicate that the throttle actuator is in operation. To check the output voltage using the Techstream, select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Throttle Position No. 1.

- REPLACE THROTTLE BODY. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE THROTTLE BODY. Refer to REMOVAL
