DTC P0715: Input / Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction; DTC P0717: Input Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal: Procedure

- INSPECT SPEED SENSOR (SENSOR INSTALLATION)
- Remove the valve body assembly.
- Make sure that the connector is properly connected, and check the speed sensor installation.
OK
The installation bolt is tightened properly and there is no clearance between the sensor and transaxle case.
NG → See step 6
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE
- Remove the TCM.
- Disconnect the speed sensor connector from the transmission wire.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Condition Condition Specified Condition 1 (NTB) sensor side - 1 (NTB) TCM side Always Below 1 Ω 2 (NTO) sensor side - 2 (NTO) TCM side Always Below 1 Ω 1 (NTB) sensor side - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher 2 (NTO) sensor side - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher 1 (NTB) sensor side - All other terminals except 2 (NTO) sensor side Always 10 kΩ or higher 2 (NTO) sensor side - All other terminals except 1 (NTB) sensor side Always 10 kΩ or higher

OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE SPEED SENSOR
- Refer to REMOVAL .
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK IF DTC OUTPUT RECURS (SEE IF DTC P0715 AND/OR P0717 OUTPUT AGAIN)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine and turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / DTC / Clear.
HINT:
Write down the currently output DTCs before clearing them.
- Perform the monitor drive pattern. Refer to MONITOR DRIVE PATTERN .
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / DTC.
- Read the DTCs using the Techstream.
