Meter Illumination is Always Dark: Procedure

1. Check if CAN communication DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .

   Result

B → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

A: Go to next step 

1. Check if DTC B1244 is output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

   Result

   B1244 is output	B. Refer to DTC B1244: Light Sensor Circuit Malfunction

B → GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM 

A: Go to next step 

1. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Ignition switch on (IG).
3. Turn Techstream on.
4. Turn the light control rheostat to the TAIL/HEAD position.
5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
6. Check the meter illumination.
   MAIN BODY:

   OK

   The meter illumination is dimmed when the auto dimmer signal is ON.

   HINT: 

   Refer to the sensitivity setting in the customization table of the lighting system. Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS .

NG → See step   4 

OK → CHECK LIGHTING SETTING 

1. Replace the combination meter assembly to a new or a normal one.

   OK

   The operation of the combination meter assembly returns to normal.

NG → REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU 

OK → END
