Entire Combination Meter does not Operate: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the I18 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I18-7 (ES) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I18-13 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V
      Ignition switch to ON 11 to 14 V
      I18-1 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Combination Meter Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
