DTC P0748: Pressure Control Solenoid "A" Electrical (Shift Solenoid Valve SL1): Procedure

  1. INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (SL1) 
    1. Remove the TCM from the transaxle.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      14 (SL1+) - 13 (SL1-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      14 (SL1+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      13 (SL1-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      14 (SL1+) - All other terminals except 13 (SL1-) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      13 (SL1-) - All other terminals except 14 (SL1+) Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      OK B
      NG A

    B → See step   3 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL1 
    1. Remove shift solenoid valve SL1.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Shift Solenoid Valve SL1
    3. Connect a battery positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector. Then check that the valve moves and makes an operating sound.

      OK

      Valve moves and makes an operating sound.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK → See step   5 

  3. REPLACE TCM. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  4. REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL1. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  5. REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE. Refer to  REMOVAL
