Driver Side Seat Belt Warning Light does not Operate: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Output DTC (CAN communication) A
      Output DTC (Airbag system (for TMC made)) B
      Output DTC (Airbag system (except TMC made)) C
      No output DTC D

    A → See step   3 

    B → See step   4 

    C → See step   5 

    D: Go to next step 

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Operate Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "ACTIVE TEST".

      Combination Meter

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      D-BELT REMIND D-SEAT BELT indicator light OFF/ON Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the engine idling

      OK

      Switch condition (ON/OFF) can be switched by "ACTIVE TEST".

    NG → REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    OK → END 

  3. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  4. GO TO AIRBAG SYSTEM (for TMC Made). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 
  5. GO TO AIRBAG SYSTEM (except TMC Made). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
