Entire Combination Meter does not Operate: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the E30 connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E30-40 (E2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E30-39 (ES) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E30-1 (B2) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      E30-21 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      E30-22 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
