Fuel Sender Gauge Assembly: Removal

DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
1. Discharge fuel system pressure (See FUEL SYSTEM ).
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the fuel suction tube assembly from the fuel tank assembly (See REMOVAL ).
REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
1. Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.
  NOTE: Do not damage the wire harness.
2. Release the lock and slide the fuel sender gauge assembly to remove it.
  NOTE: Make sure that the fuel sender gauge arm does not bend.

REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY (for 2WD)
1. Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.
  NOTE: Do not damage the wire harness.
2. Release the lock and slide the fuel sender gauge assembly to remove it.
  NOTE: Make sure that the fuel sender gauge arm does not bend.

REMOVE NO. 2 REAR FLOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 4WD)
1. Remove the rear floor service hole cover.

REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE RH ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
1. Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.

2. Remove the 5 bolts and fuel sender gauge RH assembly.
  NOTE: Be careful not to bend the arm of the fuel sender gauge.
